That’s a bit of a shock, but I suppose it shouldn’t be. Sysinternals.com has long had the best freeware OS utilities out there, so it should come as no surprise that Microsoft has finally decided to bring Mark Russinovich and Bryce Cogswell on board.

Mark was instrumental in documenting Sony’s CD rootkit a while back: I hope that joining the Borg doesn’t mean that he turns his considerable talents toward increasing DRM’s reach.

Update: ah, it appears he may not disapprove of DRM after all - just attempts to enforce it that mess up his machine.
