From hand-hacking to WordPress
Scoble reports in the same post that Jeffrey Zeldman, who has been hand-coding his site for 11 years, has switched over to WordPress. Apparently, it’s the first content management system he’s run into that doesn’t get in the way of his work.
I’m going to have to check this out myself; after all, the reason I moved off blogspot.com was that I wanted the flexibility to make my blog work the way I wanted it to. Besides, my nominal home page has always been hand-hacked, although updates have lagged since I started getting seriously into blogging.
