I’m not entirely sure what this is, but it’s really cool. Wonder how long it took them to program the robots to dance like that…
Thanks to Christian for the pointer.

As some of you know, I’ve been going by the nick “Sarek” online since 1986 or so. Mark Lenard’s portrayal of Spock’s father (among other roles) stood out, even against other talented actors on various Star Trek series.
A group of fans has been working on new original Trek episodes called “New Voyages”, and have secured the support of Walter Koenig and, most recently, George Takei. On their current news page, there is also a picture of the new Sarek.
This could work…

Scoble points at a BoingBoing post of Cory’s where he talks about the difference in correcting incorrect statements on the Wikipedia versus on the Register. On the Wikipedia, Cory was able to fix his article in five minutes, with all the changes exposed. When the Register made a mistake, it took five days, with behind-the-scenes negotiation needed.

In a recent post, Craig Berntson trumpets about a recent CERT report that “proves” that Windows is more secure than Linux. What he doesn’t mention is that the “Linux/Unix” list lumps together the Linux kernel, Mac OSX, HPUX, SCO Unixware, and others. So, when comparing 1 OS against 6 or more OSs, the 1 OS comes out ahead. What a surprise.
Update: ah, forgot I read about this analysis of the report a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for the reminder, Ted!

Hmm, I seem to have broken into the list of top 2000 editors at the Wikipedia (strictly by count). The question is, is this a good or bad thing? :-)
