Ice caves and public art
Erin and I went up to the Ice Caves on the Mountain Loop Road east of Granite Falls today. On the way up, we passed lots of logs that had fallen across the path, but had later been trimmed to clear the trail. We were quite amused to find that someone (ones?) had carved faces into the flat ends.
Erin has decided that that path is way too long to climb up again. Of course, the fact that the sun was going down and we had to hurry up and hurry faster down might have had something to do with that…
